PNG Image and transparency

Hi All:
Does VWG supports use of transparent PNG files? I can see it working on my development system, but it shows up with a gray background on all of my peers system, which is very weird. I have verified that the PNG files i am using are transparent.

I see that transparent gif works fine with VWG, but that is not an option for me, as i have my image library in PNG, and i cannot afford to convert it in gif and then replace all of the PNG files with low quality gif.

Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

We openly and fully support transparent png images. We know that some users had problem displaying such images, but fixed this with some browser configuration.

hmmm problem is with IE. check http://support.microsoft.com/kb/294714
Any workarounds in VWG for this?

Displaying transparent PNG's is a problem in IE 5 and 6. The following MSDN article suggests using AlphaImageLoader

Is there a way we can using AlphaImageLoader in Visual WebGui?

Hello,

We are just now completing a code-snippet that will demonstrate how this should be done in VWG.
I believe it will be release within a couple of days.
