Error when closing pop-up with FCKeditor

Hi,

I recieve an error when I try to close a form with a FCKeditor-control.
The fckeditor throws "this.LinkedField.form" is empty or not an object. When debugging the javascript the value of LinkedField is null.

How I can I correct that?

Thanks in advance,
Karl

Re: Error when closing pop-up with FCKeditor
Hi,

Thank you for this information - we checked it here but could not reproduce it. Can you please send us a VWG sample application which demonstrates this behavior to our support at visualwebgui.com so we’ll be able to handle it a.s.a.p.

Cheers,

Shlomi

I got the same problem.  I got that message to go away by commenting that code out in the ~/fckeditor/editor/js/fckeditorcode_ie.js file:

GetParentForm:function(){/*return this.LinkedField.form;*/}

However, the issue about commenting this out is that fckEditor1.Value loses the HTML tags.  VWG release 6.2.2a for what I need to do.  The FCKEditor version that I'm using is 2.6.3 (latest current).  Anybody got a fix or workaround?

Hi,

I still think that a sample application will be much good here.

BTW, did you try to update the FCK Editor's resource files?

Regards,
Itzik Spitzen

I did update the all FCKEditor resource files in the ~/fckeditor folder as well as clearing out any cached files that Internet Explorer may have saved previously.  You can download a sample app with FCKeditor as a popup form to replicate the error at:

Thanks for your support,
Trung
