Hi Albert, I have also the same problem with the new version. No menu entry to enable the WebGui and no entry to call the control wrapper.

Hello, I had the same problems as you, but I think is a bug in the installer. If you choose "Typical", that option is not installed, so choose "Complete" and you will found it.
Hope it help you.
Regards.

Good idea, but I still use the complete install option. Now I have uninstalled VWG to re-install with the customized
option, unfortunately without success.

Hi !
I was missing the "ASP.NET Control Wrapper" in the Add menu also. I am allmost sure it was there before, but then again I temporarily had Siverlight 2.0 tools and SDK installed at that time.
So, I did a VWG 6.2.1 uninstall. Installed Silverlight Tools for VS2008 and SDK, then again installed the 3.5 version of VWG 6.2.1, selecting complete install.
Now I have the control wrapper back in.
Conclution, well, either it's depending on a complete install to succeed without complaining about Silverlight is missing, or it's dependent on the Silverligt part.
Environment is Vista Ultimate 32bit, VS2008

| In my case I had to choose the "custom" option for the install, then make sure that the item for Visual WebGUI Project System was set to "Entire feature will be installed on local hard drive". This did the trick. After the install, I was then able to access the menu item to "Enable Visual WebGUI" after right-clicking on a new project. I noticed that the menu item does not show up for projects that are already enabled. |
