Hello DougBeard!

Trying to reproduce the problem you reported in the reported scenario, When I referenced an assembly that is not in the GAC and compiled the solution, the controls that were available for wrapping in that assembly were in the end of the "Choose ASP.NET Control" window list.

Please check again.
If this doesn't work, please make sure you are referencing the correct assembly and that that assembly contains ASP.NET controls.

The assembly is definitely referenced.  I've tried both ways, referencing an assembly directly and referencing a project within the solution.

The controls I'm trying to wrap are custom server controls derived from System.Web.UI.WebControl.CompositeControl.  They are not created using the VS2008 ASP.NET Server Control Template.
