Extending existing app to Silverlight
Hi,
I am trying to extend an existing VWG app to work with silverlight. I tried the same steps as outlined in the video [Extending extending applications to Silverlight # 148]. I followed the exact same steps and when I go to MainForm.swgx, I get a "Page not found" from IIS. I even configured IIS to accept "swgx" extensions [Just like I did for wgx]. Still does not make any difference. I did download the silverlight extensions package and the "ClientBin" folder was created in my solution automatically after I added the silverlight specific build events. I even tried the same thing with the downloaded "Catalog application". I am using VS 2008. This also would not work. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Prakash

Re: Extending existing app to Silverlight
Ok. I have an update. I was able to get past the "Page not found" error. I unchecked the "Check that file exists" checkbox in IIS when setting up "swgx"  extension. Now, when I go to any page with swgx extension, the browser displays a small "cross" icon at the top left hand corner. The rest of the page is blank.
Please help.

Re: Extending existing app to Silverlight

Hi,

Looks like you don't have Silverlight 2 beta 2 runtime installed correctly on your browser, you can go to www.silverlight.net in order to download and install it on your browser (currently fully supported browsers by MS are IE and Firefox).

Regards,
Itzik Spitzen
